Belt cleaner is a device used to remove adhesion on the surface of the belt during transportation. If the cleaning effect of the belt cleaner cannot be guaranteed, it loses its own value.
Incomplete cleaning by the belt cleaner can cause materials adhered to the belt to directly enter between the rollers, causing friction between material particles, belts, and rollers, ultimately leading to wear and tear between the rollers and belts. The on-site working environment is harsh, greatly reducing the efficiency of belt transportation.
There are two types of belt cleaners: the first section and the empty section. The head cleaner is installed at the driving drum of the belt conveyor and is used for removing adhesive materials from the working surface of the belt. The empty section cleaner is installed in front of the rear drum of the belt conveyor or on the lower branch belt of the vertical heavy hammer device towards the drum, used for removing sticky materials from the non working surface of the belt.
Reasons and solutions for incomplete cleaning of coal conveyor belt cleaner
1. The selection of the cleaner is incorrect.
The selection of sweepers should be based on the on-site working conditions and targeted, and sweepers that do not match the working conditions should not be blindly installed.
2. The installation position of the cleaner is incorrect.
Different types of cleaners correspond to different installation positions, and specific installation details can be consulted with Inmet.
3. After installation and use for a period of time, the frequent friction between the blade of the cleaner and the surface of the belt can easily cause varying degrees of wear on the blade. After wear and tear, there will be a certain gap between the blade and the belt. When the fit between the two is not enough, it is easy to cause poor cleaning effect of the belt.
Regularly inspect the cleaner, and if severe wear is found on the cleaner blade, adjust or replace the blade in a timely manner to ensure its cleaning effect and prevent belt return with material.
4. The blockage at the cleaner can cause deformation, as well as a change in the installation angle between the cleaner and the belt, resulting in poor cleaning effect.
The installation angle between the cleaner and the belt should be measured regularly, and if the angle changes, it should be adjusted in a timely manner.
