Recently, I have often encountered people asking how to use repair strips and how to make them stick more firmly. Based on years of experience, briefly introduce the usage method of repair strips.
1. Before using the repair strip, the surface of the damaged conveyor belt should be roughened with a grinder or rubber file.
2. Mix the adhesive and curing agent in a ratio of 100:4 evenly, and the mixed adhesive should be used up within 2 hours.
3. Use a brush to apply the mixed adhesive to the damaged surface of the conveyor belt. Apply the first coat, completely dry it, and then proceed with the second coat.
4. At the same time as the second coating on the surface of the conveyor belt, the CN layer of the repair strip is also coated.
(The repair strip with CN layer only needs to be brushed once with the mixed adhesive)
5. When the second layer is dry to a slightly sticky state (not sticky to the back of the hand), apply the repair strip to the surface that needs to be repaired.
6. When pasting repair strips, pay attention to squeezing out bubbles. Use a compaction roller to press hard from the middle to the outside, and then use a rubber hammer to strike firmly.
7. Finally, along the edge of the repair strip, brush another circle of mixed adhesive with a brush to cover the edge of the repair strip.
8. After sufficient drying, it can be turned on and run after 2 hours.
